The DLC promotes quality, performance, and energy-efficient commercial sector lighting solutions through collaboration among its federal, regional, state, utility, and energy efficiency program members; luminaire manufacturers; lighting designers, and other industry stakeholders throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Energy Star
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
UL Classification
There are multiple variations of marks for UL's Listing service, some of which are for use in the United States others for use in Canada, and still others for use in both markets. Products carrying marks for Canada have been evaluated according to Canadian safety requirements, which may be somewhat different from U.S. safety requirements. A combination mark indicates compliance with both Canadian and U.S. Requirements.
UL Listed
UL is a world leader in product safety testing and certification. For more than 100 years, manufacturers have had their merchandise evaluated and tested for safety risks by our independent, third-party safety certification organization. Last year alone, approximately 14 billion products with the UL Mark entered the global marketplace.
ETL Listed
The ETL Listed Mark indicates to distributors, retailers, and customers that your product has been tested by Intertek and found in compliance with accepted national standards.
RoHS
RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive2002/95/EC. originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products which include Lead (Pbl, Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBl, Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE).

CALIFORNIA TITLE 20
The California Building Standards Commission created Title 20 standards to ensure that building construction and system design and installation achieve higher energy efficiency, it includes standards for both federally regulated appliances and non-federally - regulated appliances. These standards are updated by the California Energy Commission (CEC] to include new energy efficiency methods.

The Department of Energy's (DOE) overarching mission is to advance the national, economic, and energy security of the United States; and to promote scientific and technological innovation in support of that mission.
CEC
CEC is the abbreviation of the California Energy Commission. its role is to make the energy market develop in thedirection of healthy competition. Beginning July 1, 2006, all external power supplies exported to California, USA must meet the California Energy Efficiency Regulations issued by the California Energy Commission. This California energy efficiency regulation is in the United States. A new energy efficiency regulation was developed on the basis of Energy Star.
EPA
The mission of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment - air. water and land - upon which life depends.
